A quick note for Yessi on what we want, why, and who to contact. Written Aug 19, 2026.
We want the real, FDA-approved shot (called Zepbound), not a cheaper "compounded" copy mixed by a pharmacy. It's a once-a-week shot you give yourself at home. It costs about $299–$449 a month paid out of pocket.
Online you'll see ads for $100–$200 a month. Those are almost always compounded tirzepatide, a pharmacy mixing the drug itself. It's the same idea, but:
Our thinking: we're injecting this into our body every week. For that, we want the exact same product a doctor's office or pharmacy would give, made by the actual manufacturer (Eli Lilly). Safety over saving a little money.
Zepbound (tirzepatide) — single-dose vials
One shot per week, self-injected at home. You start low and build up over time so your body adjusts.

Ask for the vials (cheaper) rather than the pre-filled pens. Everyone starts at 2.5 mg for the first 4 weeks. One heads-up: for the higher doses ($449 tier), you have to reorder within 45 days each time or the price jumps, so keep the refills on schedule.
All three sell the real brand-name Zepbound (not compounded). Start with the first one, it's the cheapest and comes straight from the maker.
Eli Lilly's own service (they make Zepbound). Cheapest, guaranteed authentic. You do a quick online medical visit, then they ship it.
Well-known telehealth company, nationwide, strong reviews. Handles the doctor visit and ships brand Zepbound. Charges a small membership on top.
Established weight-management telehealth program that also prescribes the brand version. Good backup if the first two have a wait.
Any of them will ask a few health questions (weight, height, medical history) before a doctor approves it. That's normal. They ship to Nevada.
We checked our Anthem plan directly. It does not cover Zepbound for weight loss (most plans exclude weight-loss shots). So paying cash through one of the three above is the route. The manufacturer price is already discounted for paying out of pocket.
