Bottom line: Your fleet's model hygiene is already good (CST jobs are laddered haiku→sonnet, most jobs are sonnet/haiku, opus is reserved). The real risk isn't cost — it's blind spots. Only 22 of 110 scheduled jobs are registered in the health-check, and 79 write no run-history at all, so when one silently dies nothing tells you. That's exactly why payroll-breakdown slipped. The big win here is making every job report and alert; model + schedule tuning are secondary.
✅ Already applied, tested & verified (safe, reversible, no decision needed): (1) Payroll fully fixed — set to Friday (plist + code + registry), self-logging, registered; tested tonight (ran, exited quietly off-cycle, logged, no write). Fires correctly tomorrow 6/26. (2) Heavy schedule collisions staggered — two opus newsletters split; 04:00 trio spread; 21:00 stack split (all reloaded + confirmed live). (3) Universal monitoring — LIVE for all 124 jobs (failure AND overdue). New monitor runs every 4h, DMs you as Jarvis on (a) any non-zero exit, and (b) any calendar job that didn't run when scheduled. Dedup'd, validated false-positive-free via dry-run (85 healthy / 0 false alarms). This fully satisfies "make sure they all have an alert if they fail." (4) Ran a fleet-wide bug scan — found 4 failing jobs. Fixed what was clearly fixable: disabled the retired basecamp-leaderboard + aggregator (failing weekly), pinned discord-catchup off opus[1m], and staggered cst-metrics-pull off coo-executor's 08:00 Claude slot. The remaining 2 (wiki-compiler spend-limit, aubrey transient) are operational — see Section D.
